This Privacy Policy explains how Locus of Life (referred to as “I”, “me” or “my”) collects, stores and processes personal information through my online counselling services and website (“my website”). Under the UK GDPR, I process personal information on the lawful basis of performance of a contract, as this information is necessary in order to provide counselling services.
Where I process special category data, such as health-related information, I do so under Article 9 of the UK GDPR
for the provision of confidential counselling and support services.
Data Storage and Security
I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information.
Electronic Data
Electronic records are stored on password-protected and/or fingerprint-secured devices. Files are also password protected, and identifying details are stored separately wherever possible in anonymised or minimised form.
Physical Data
Any paper records are kept securely in locked storage and, where possible, in anonymised form.
Your personal information is accessible only to me and is handled in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
Data Retention
Your personal information will usually be retained for a minimum of 7 years after our counselling work has ended,
in line with professional, insurance and legal requirements. After this period, your data will be securely destroyed
unless I am required by law to keep it for longer.

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
