Perhaps you have spent years adapting to different cultures, navigating unfamiliar expectations, carrying relationship difficulties,

or quietly putting your own feelings aside.

You may be facing loneliness, uncertainty, a major life transition, or simply the sense that you have lost touch with yourself.

At Locus of Life, I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of

what you have been carrying.

Rather than searching for quick answers, our work begins by listening to what feels most important to you today.

My Approach to Counselling

Counselling is not about someone telling you how to live your life.

It is a space where you can begin understanding yourself more deeply, reconnect with your own feelings,

and gradually find a way forward that feels authentic to you.

Every person's story is different.

For that reason, I do not follow a rigid method or apply the same approach to everyone.

Instead, I tailor each session to your individual needs, experiences and pace.

Therapeutic Approaches I May Draw Upon

My work is grounded in the Person-Centred Approach, which values empathy, acceptance and genuine human connection.

Depending on your needs, I may also integrate:

🌸 Person-Centred Therapy

Creating a safe, non-judgemental relationship where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly.

🌸 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Helping you recognise patterns of thinking and behaviour that may be contributing to anxiety, stress or emotional distress, while developing more balanced ways of responding.

🌸 Attachment Theory

Exploring how early experiences of relationships may continue to influence the way you relate to yourself and others today.

 

These approaches are never applied mechanically.

They are used flexibly, according to what feels most helpful for you.

Online Sessions

 

Session length: 50 minutes

Format: Secure online video sessions

Languages: Sessions are available in English and Japanese

Free 30-Minute Introductory Session

 

The introductory session offers an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you here and whether I may be

the right person to support you.

It is also a chance for you to experience the way I work and decide whether this feels like a place

where you can speak comfortably and openly.

There is absolutely no obligation to continue afterwards.

Finding the right counsellor is important, and I want you to feel able to make that decision without pressure.

Creating a safe and trustworthy therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work.

Everything you share is treated confidentially in accordance with professional ethical standards.

Personal information is managed in compliance with UK GDPR and EU GDPR requirements.

As a counsellor trained in the UK, I work in accordance with the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling

and Psychotherapy (BACP), helping to ensure a professional, respectful and secure environment for every client.
